Hi just a quick post letting you all know about Jon’s success to date, this was taken a few days ago on day 27. Its great to hear from the man himself and see what he is achieving. Also watch this space as results day is coming up fast!!

Nearly there, we are on the countdown and the run up to the finish line. Now its all about being as active as possible around our jobs and commitments. Also making sure we all eat a balanced diet over these final few days. Keeping it as simple, tasty and healthy. Sleep is critical and not just on this programme but getting some decent shut eye helps us recover physically, mentally and emotionally. Its all about balance, consistency and commitment … and the results are definitely worth it!!

When it comes to training we are always asking our clients WHY? What is it you really want to achieve?

A lot of people will simply state “to get fit” “to feel better” “to be healthier”

These are all great reasons, but getting really specific about your goals will put you in a much stronger position to achieve them and setting a dedicated time frame to kick start the process will get you fast results.

Setting goals are very important not just with exercise but also in life as it feels good to set targets and achieve them. Reaching that goal however big or small gives us a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

So for example, if it is a 5k, 10k or half marathon, set a time and work out a plan. If its weight loss, set some realistic targets to drop a dress size and lose the lbs and inches.

Whatever your goal, seek support and advice, get your diet right for the challenge or goal. Get expert coaching that will get you in the best shape, keep you focused, motivated and prepared.

Hey to you all out there following the blog of our challenge … today has been a beautifully sunny and successful day here in Southbourne, Dorset for Phill, Cath  & Jon on the 30 Day Challenge!

We have reached day 21, the 1st 3 weeks have gone so fast and we are now almost into the last week of the challenge.  Our results are in and it’s been another really triumphant week.

Jon has lost another 5 lbs, a further 1.5 inches from hips, an inch from chest/upper back and half an inch from his waist!  He has told us that this is the most focused he has ever felt about his food and exercise and he feels really positive.  Such fabulous results lead to more and more benefits, and these are now really starting to add up following 3 weeks of fat loss.  Trousers feel more comfortable around the waist band and need belts to hold them up, shirts are not pulling and they fit more comfortably, and crucially fat loss is happening fast and in the areas that are really important.  This result has been true for all of us, we are all losing the fat on those body areas where we want it the most; waists, chest/upper back, hips and thighs.

We as well as Jon are all seeing and benefiting from this challenge.  Adding to Jon’s successes, we have lost a further 3 lbs in weight between us, an inch off of chest/upper back, 1.5 inches off of our waists, 1 inch from hips and 1/2 inch from thighs.  We are really now noticing our changing body shapes and are enjoying that feeling of powerful legs, more energy, clarity and focus.

  “My proudest moment was when I was able to wear a shirt that I have been uncomfortable wearing as it fitted me poorly. I would almost always get that stretching at the buttons look which I hate. I had to wear the shirt this week for an interview an it was actually loose. If anything it was a little too big.  Loosing inches off my waist and chest are a real highlight. I am so much more comfortable in my clothes.”


So as day 21 draws to a close, we are feeling happy, proud of our results and confident!  Roll on day 22 and the final week … … …


Food for thought!! A piece of Cake…

We are over the half way point so I thought I would let you into what it is like to go through this process from a trainers perspective.  We all lead busy lives and have commitments to family, friends and work.

I thought doing a programme like this 30 day challenge would be a piece of cake..

Having always played sport, been active and worked as a trainer in this industry for over 12 years I thought the programme would be easy.  Going back through training regimes, refining what I eat and looking at my overall health has made me stop and think, could I do better?

Maybe you’ll ask yourself can you pinch an inch or more? Whats the state of your medicine cabinet? Is the fridge full of processed food? Does the back ache in the morning and do you need caffeine to get going?

We started over 2 weeks ago, at the start of week one it hit me that we all get stuck in our own routine and once in while we need a good shake up, and this has given me just that. The first few days were harder than I first thought, with a few head aches from cutting out the caffeine and some cravings.

The focus has been on further streamlining the diet and making sure we were drinking lots of water.  Working through the 30 day challenge is great and it is fantastic to see results that all three of 3 us are getting.

No blood, plenty of sweat, no tears just yet!  It’s totally worth it, I’m sleeping better, feeling fitter, lighter and trimmer … all good things!

So are you ready for a change??

It is now less than a month until the 30 Day Group Challenge with us begins, Tuesday 24th June could just be the right time to shake it up for yourself …


Food for thought!! A piece of Cake..

Halfway Stage!! Day 15 … 500 reps … over 5lbs and 4cms!!

Bank Holiday Monday may have been relaxing for some, for us it was a land mark day, the half way stage of the challenge and we had a monster workout in the studio!

Today’s studio challenge was to each perform 500 reps over 5 big body movement exercises … and we did it J  Check out Jon’s shirt at the end of the workout to prove it!!



SO today we also weighed in and got measurements over the weekend too.  Things are progressing really well with Jon having lost over 5 lbs more and a further massive 4 cm off his waist and almost the same off his chest!  Interestingly for all of us differences between the left and right sides of upper arms and legs are also evening out in terms of inch loss.

Adding our totals together for the second week completed, we have lost:

  • Over 8lbs in weight loss
  • 6cm off our waists
  • 9cm off our thighs
  • 5cm off chest

AND … we had a fantastic blood pressure for Jon once again after his exercise session – see how good all this exercising is for us!!

We had fun too, we are working really well as a team and everyone is pulling their weight and giving it their all during the sessions, which makes it really worthwhile and a great atmosphere, this coupled with the fab results and we are all really quite happy!!
